The festive vanity edit! | The Asian Age

Make-up for this season is fun and slightly blingy.
By SWATI GUPTA: The festive season is here and our calendars are marked – with those much awaited dos. And this time around, play with delicate yet youthful and fun hairdos to make a subtle yet striking statement. Softly curled hair, braids, side buns and messy buns are all great, trendy options to try. Customise the look with quirky accessoties to take your personal style a notch higher during the festivities.

To add to the charm, wear fresh flowers bands for a more striking appeal. Interesting jewellery accessories also work great to enhance a look – and are very in. Work with "mang teekhas" or decorative hair pins to make a loud statement. Basically put, it’s about letting those glitzy add-ons do the talking! In terms of colour trends, Ecaille, Ombre and Balayage are a huge rage. To make heads turn, these classic looks can be made bolder by working in contrast shades as well.

Make-up for this season is fun and slightly blingy. You can make a statement with arched and darkened eye brows. Even nice- shimmery eye shadow and nice bright shades of eye liner are options to consider. If you want to highlight the lips, and choose fuschia pink or a bold solid red. Blood reds or berry reds are very in and can be an excellent choice for lip colour too, to make a statement, while sticking to a classic appeal.
